Yay - canned drinks
Well – the UCISA CISG 2009 has now kicked off. And first of all – what a venue! The hotel room feels like someone has cornered the market in marble and it’s the first time I’ve had to decide which double bed to use. I tried sleeping across the two but the 2 foot gap between them proved too much of a barrier….
The exhibition space is similarly plush with a lovely airy feeling to it and a layout that makes it easy to see all of the exhibitors all at once… great to pick out who to go and pester next. A lot of familiar faces amongst them but some newcomers as well – always nice to have someone new to chat to.
And.. here’s the biggy for me… and it may sound trivial but there’s canned drinks available which means no more sitting in the conference hall and just wanting a talk to end so that I can get rid of the dry feeling in my mouth…
All in all – a fantastic venue so far
