The Bradford Literature Festival have been in touch regarding their festival volunteering scheme.

‘Bradford Literature festival has been hailed as one of the most inspirational festivals in the UK. Featuring over 400 artists across 300 events, we celebrate the written and spoken word in all its wonderful forms. We would love your help to spread the word about the different opportunities available to join the festival, we are looking for a large team to work with us from the 29th June- 10th July. Volunteers will gain valuable skills that all employers are looking for in a fun, dynamic and fast paced environment’.

The Leeds Salon have been in touch to announce that Joanna Williams, journalist, academic, and author of Women vs Feminism and Academic Freedom in an Age of Conformity will be introducing her book and face questions and comments from a critical panel:

  • Valerie Bryson, Professor Emerita of Politics, University of Huddersfield, and author of Feminist Political Theory, and Gender and the Politics of Time.

yorkshire scandals

Thanks to Ben Prusiner, from the Riding Lights Theatre Company, for getting in touch to tell us about the ‘Yorkshire Scandals’ project.

£5 Student Tickets are available for Yorkshire Scandals, a true crime double bill featuring the classical ‘A Yorkshire Tragedy’ by Shakespeare or Middleton, presented with a brand new modern play, ‘The Taskers’ Trials’, by Yorkshire playwright Bill Hodson.
