WHY DID YOU APPLY FOR THIS DONOR-FUNDED SCHOLARSHIP?
I was experiencing financial hardship alongside an unexpected event that affected myself and my family back in London. The scholarship was recommended to help provide extra support to my everyday life and my ability to commute to university.
HOW HAS THE SCHOLARSHIP HELPED SUPPORT YOUR STUDIES?
The scholarship helped cover food cost. Most importantly transport from Leeds to university as well as Leeds to home in London. It helped a lot for my family as well to offer more support. I was able to stay on top of my class work and show up as committee member to British Sign Language Society sessions.
WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR PROUDEST ACHIEVEMENT?
Achieving my level 3 British Sign Language qualification and being to contribute to the growth of the British Sign Language society on campus.
WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO SAY TO DONORS WHO HAVE SUPPORTED YOUR SCHOLARSHIP?
Thank you for your generosity, it truly makes a difference. Financial stress is a heavy burden when navigating emotional and mental stress but having support made coping a lot easier. I wish you all the absolute best. God bless you all greatly.
