Dear Human Resources Manager,
I am writing to you to apply for the job of Guest Experience Assistant, that was advertised on Free Job Solution. As requested, I have enclosed my CV.
Throughout my time in secondary school and during my training as an Undergraduate drama and theatre student I have gained many skills that would be extremely beneficial to have as a Guest Experience Assistant. As outlined on my CV I have undertaken a wide range of roles and throughout these I have demonstrated that I am able to think quickly on my feet as well as being able to express myself confidently in front of a diverse group of people; these are two of my key skills that are important for, and I would be able to bring to, the role. In addition, always strive to do my very best in every situation, show pride in all the work that I complete and do so with a smile and “can do” attitude.
In 2019 I was elected as York St John Musical Production Societies Choreographer. This position meant that I was responsible for the teaching and organisation of the rehearsals and though this role I developed effective methods to enable me to successfully lead a team and support people who were new to the team. I have always maintained a positive attitude to completing tasks, even when faced with people or situations that are more challenging. This produced a high level of respect from the member of the society and my enthusiasm was noted with me being shortlisted for the York St John Society Personality of the Year Award. I am a compassionate, hardworking, and reliable person that would bring a lot to the role of Guest Experience Assistant.
Having visited Chester Zoo regularly since being a member as a small child, I would like to continue the high level of customer service that my family and many others have received for years. Outside of drama, one of my interests is learning about wildlife and natural sciences and really enjoy educational documentaries presented by people such as David Attenborough, Steve Irwin and Steve Backshall. This opportunity would allow me to combine my interest in wildlife with my ability to present to and engage with the general public.
I have no unavailable dates for interview and could start with immediate effect. It would be an honour to work for Chester Zoo, to be a part of the team that runs the most visited zoo in the UK and to deliver continuing excellent customer service. If any more information is required, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Yours faithfully
Charlotte Allmand
