Teaching Enhancement Team

Learning and Teaching development is managed and supported by the Teaching Enhancement Team. We offer:

  • A wide range of all-staff CPD sessions throughout the year
  • School and discipline specific events
  • 2 x Learning and Teaching Conferences
  • Opportunities to engage with formal, credit-bearing courses at Level 7, including the MA in Education.
  • Structured pathways for teaching development leading to HEA Fellowship recognition

HEA Fellowship

The core of our L&T development offering is our AdvanceHE accredited HEA Fellowship scheme, enabling colleagues with more than 2 years’ experience of supporting learning in a HE context, to gain recognition at one of the following three levels:

  • Associate Fellow (D1),
  • Fellow (D2) or
  • Senior Fellow (D3).

Structured Pathways

For colleagues such as postgraduate researchers, professional staff with teaching responsibilities, or those new to teaching with fewer than two years’ experience of supporting teaching in a HE context, we offer a structured pathway to recognition.
