four leaf clover, good to know you
brought out the best in me
I picked you perfect, kept you secret
and stored away the key
I held on tightly, ever so slightly
scared to know the end
I saw it coming, but kept on running
for you I would pretend
it wasn’t fated, but nothing’s tainted
our memories stay the same
I’ll say it softly, how I’m sorry
I know that I’m to blame
four leaf clover, all blown over
I place the wreckage in my heart
I’ll watch over, now there’s closure
even when we’re far apart
people told me, you were my only
I lost your leaflets one by one
you were hopeful, I was faithful
now our luck’s all gone
but my love for you carries on
