My name is Emily Walton, I am due to be graduating from York St John University in the summer term with a Drama: Education and community degree. The experience, skills and learning I have gained from this degree contributes to why I would be the perfect candidate to start my teacher training with your alliance or school. I consider myself as a confident, honest, reliable and motivating individual, assisting others to succeed is my main drive. These values denote why I would make the prime candidate for inspiring the next generation through teaching. I believe my enthusiasm is what makes myself stand out from other potential candidates, having a lifelong passion for the power an education has on an individual’s future, my enthusiasm combined with my passionate nature will allow individuals to be confident enough to grow and flourish In their study.
I have previous experience/knowledge in:
- Choosing curriculum that meets all requirements and fosters students learning.
- Facilitating a number of workshops with pupils aged between 6 and 22.
- Implementing policies suitable to the School/company.
In addition to my experience and personal qualities, I have a multiple qualification registered from legitimate UK exam boards in related subjects ranging from GCSE to A level, to be completed with my degree. This level of focus around the drama genre supports how aware and understanding I am of the drama curriculum and how a technique can be developed, therefore my knowledge is extremely beneficial when applying for a drama teacher position.
It would be massively rewarding to have the opportunity to further widen my skills set on the drama curriculum by starting my teacher training, as well as gathering more experience in facilitating new students, all of different ages, with different abilities, goals and aims.
