Who is Emily Woodcock? I am a determined, hardworking and organised individual. When given a task to complete I will start working on it straight away and finish it at the highest standard. I am reliable to always be on time, and can work efficiently within a team and on my own as shown through group projects and self-shot productions.
Some notable qualifications include:
- 10 GCSE’s including Maths, English, Business, History.
- 3 A Levels – History, Religious Studies, Applied Science.
- Owner of a Royal Photographic Society Award completed through the Open University.
- Currently completing a BA (Hons) Media Production: Film and Television Degree.
I believe this educational background in multiple different subjects provides an eclectic mix of background skills. For example a GCSE in Business Studies is useful for creating a brand and marketing my work online to generate interest and potentially job offers in the future. History, Religious Studies and Science knowledge helps me be creative and knowledgeable in other areas outside of media, which helps with creativity and standing out from the crowd.
Content:
The content I choose to create mostly revolves around nature. Regarding photography, I prefer to take photographs of the outdoors and its beauty. Healing through nature is always a huge theme within my work. I enjoy showing my audience a different perspective of nature such as through my short experimental film Scurry. I think I am most proud of my film Scurry because it is just shows the epitome of my branding and content.
I developed my interest with Photography by completing the Open University Royal Photographic Society Award Course in 2018 which then led me onto the Media Production: Film and Television degree at York St John University.
Below are a few examples of photographs taken that show my interest in nature photography from 2018/19. More examples can be seen on my Instagram page.
