In this area, you can see my filmography. I mostly create experimental short films as this allows me to be most creative. I would describe myself as a self-shooting producer director. But I also edit, camera operate and script write.
Scurry:
Scurry is an experimental film I made in second year of university. This was one of my most favourite films to make despite having to create it during the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown. It allowed me to think more out of the box and discover how to make a film during a pandemic with limited resources and travel opportunities. I was a single person crew for this project so I produced, filmed and edited this film as we were in lockdown.
Short Film – WaX
During my second year of university, me and a crew of about 7 people created this short film called WaX. It was made during Covid-19 pandemic so we had to learn and adapt to allow the creation of this film to take place safely. My role was Camera Operator on this project however not all shots are from me as there was another Camera Operator. I also helped with lighting and Covid Safety on set.
Location Recce:
The below video is a location recce undertaken at Derwent Water in Keswick, Lake District. The goal for this location recce was for the location to be turned into the site of filming for a short horror film. The background story I created for it was that the lake side town was haunted and every 20 years or so, a villager would be drowned. In the past, the town had hung a witch from the gnarled tree where the music crescendos in the location recce video. The witch then seeks her revenge on the town and the villagers ultimately have to come up with a plan to stop the drownings.
Act 5 Scene 1 Macbeth:
This short snippet of an act from Macbeth was created in my third year and is shot from Lady Macbeths POV as the images are all out of order which I chose to do as it depicts her descent into madness. It is meant to look like its filmed in the 90s or 2000s as I thought that fitted the tone and mood of the script with the harsh contrasts and bold lighting and made it look more old-fashioned which compliments the era it was made.
Please look forward to the publication of my final project ‘BLINK’ which I will be posting on this website/blog in a few months!
