About

I am a writer, theatre maker, and arts activist, who is aspiring to make character driven work that comments on human experience. I intend to work freelance, moving between solo and collaborative projects, while working in areas that will heighten my knowledge in the field of freelance theatre making, and my experience as a human being. In this portfolio you will find my attached CV and Personal Statement from my application for the Dramatic Writing MA at the University of Arts London; which will aim to give you a sense of who I am as an artist and what I wish to give my audience. This portfolio also includes past and current projects, articles that I have written to explore a certain topic outside of creative writing, and a catalogue of my short stories and creative writings.

Some things about me:

I love to read. On the right you will find a link to my Instagram account, where I have recently started a blog page reviewing books. Some favourites of mine to note are The Outsider by Albert Camus, The Power by Naomi Alderman, and The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. Another notable story that I admire is The Tell-Tale Heart by Edgar Allen Poe. Reading helps to focus my mind and transport me somewhere. I like to read as much as I can before writing anything because it helps to be creative when you’ve explored the creativity of such talented individuals.

I am a complete nerd for life. Being nerdy about one thing would be simple. However, I tend to be nerdy about anything that interests me. I am nerdy about movies, sci-fi, museums, art, books, and even the news. The one area I have never seemed to be nerdy about is technology. I am a dinosaur living in the twenty first century. I don’t specifically understand technology, I wouldn’t dare buy wireless earphones (as I wouldn’t trust myself to use them), and I am even having trouble creating this website.
