In my shoes

In my shoes

In my shoes is an autobiographical performance that shows what my life has been like growing up and living on the autistic spectrum. With this piece, I used objects to develop a visual way of telling my story and re-creating my memories from my childhood. I wanted to explore my past and come to terms with it. I intend on showing my audience how I have grown up and developed over the years and how I have managed to come along way despite my disability. I wanted my performance to give my audience a better understanding of what autism is and to educate those who don’t have much of an understanding of the disability.
