I am a current third year Drama and Theatre Student at York St John University. I am about to graduate and after university I am interested in making work with Blue Flamingos, a collaborative theatre company I am a part of, and hope to reperform my IPAR, Cauliflower, under the new brand.
Aside from being a student, I am also a youth theatre assistant at York Theatre Royal and thus I am excellent at communication regardless of age. I can work both independently, and as part of a team, and have done so in multiple performances and work life. Due to the nature of my course I have good time management and confidence, having took part, and led workshops and performances.
As an artist, I’ve had a range of responsibilities that have shaped me into the practitioner I am today. I have, as aforementioned, both led and took part in workshops, wrote, directed and performed in various shows both independently and in groups. I have grown in confidence over my time at York St John University to become a confident and efficient practitioner, who explores both comedy and political issues in her work.
I hope to pitch the aforementioned show , and why I think it would be an excellent venture to show at festivals. I hope that this portfolio reflects that notion, and I thankyou for reading.
Many thanks,
Lorna McCullough
