The factory was a collection of snippets curated by my team Greyscale Theatre company.
The piece was a postapocalyptic film of Great Britain after the so-called “united era”, a term the company symbolized as our current era of the united kingdom.
The work was politically motivated to be anti-war, anti-capitalist, and written during the “Rethink. Reskill. Reboot.” Government retraining campaign in 2019. At the peak of the Covid pandemic, the stories were shared over a collection of months, and braided together into a short film.
The collection of shorts explores the future of Britain should the arts be defunded, in a contemporary creative commentary.
