Are you developing a new programme or revalidating an existing programme?

If so:

  • Do you know how to embed contemporary pedagogies and innovation into your programme?
  • Do you know how to respond to design challenges, such as inclusion and sustainability?
  • Can you design a programme which is responsive to the changing landscape of Higher Education?

The Academic Development Directorate, working with Registry, is developing the ways we support colleagues who are involved in the design of new programmes and the revalidation of existing ones.

A well-designed programme engages and enthuses students and, ultimately, improves the quality of their learning. It also results in an enhanced teaching experience for academic staff and a greater currency in both pedagogy and key strategic issues for the sector. For these reasons, one of the Directorate’s key priorities will be working with departments on curriculum design.

We have produced a brochure which explains how we envisage working with programme teams, and invite anyone who is involved or interested in curriculum design to take a look and get in touch with us to find out about the support we can offer:
