Students as Researchers Scheme 2015-16

The Students as Researchers Scheme gives York St John students the opportunity to be paid to carry out research alongside members of staff. The primary aim of the scheme is to engage undergraduate students and staff in collaborative research projects, providing the opportunity for students to directly experience research in a way they might not have otherwise had the opportunity.

Following on from the success of the UG Students as Researchers Scheme we have decided this year to extend the scheme to provide opportunities for you to engage with students in two other ways:

  • Students as Partners in Curriculum Design
  • Students working with survey data to enhance learning and teaching.

ADD will support staff to recruit and support students for these alternative options in the same way we do for Students as Researchers.

Project application forms are available on the Students as Researchers website, and include further detail. If you would like to talk about either of the new options please contact ADD@yorksj.ac.uk.

The deadline for submission of staff applications is 25/9/15 at 5.00pm!

Did you know we have a new student researcher blog?

The blog provides information on newly funded projects, resources for current student researchers, and information on our annual student researcher event at York St John, the Undergraduate Research Conference.
