Moodle: Adding an EvaSys Evaluation Block

Being able to hear our students’ voice and use it to ensure we offer a high quality student experience is important to the university and key to its’ success. With this in mind EvaSys is our new module evaluation platform, which will allow us to quickly and easily capture students’ thoughts and opinions on the module they’ve just completed.

Adding the EvaSys Evaluation Block

This year you will need to manually add the block to existing Moodle courses yourself, in future Moodle courses it makes up part of the pre-populated template that appears once you have activated your Moodle site.

To add the Evaluations (EvaSys) block:

  1. Turn editing on
  2. Scroll down to the add a block drop down menu, found on the right hand side
  3. From the drop down menu click on the Evaluations (EvaSys) option
  4. Your Moodle course will reload with the new EvaSys block beneath any other blocks on your page
  5. Click on your Evaluations (EvaSys) block and move it up to the top of the right hand column

At present the block will say “No open online surveys” because there are no live surveys currently running, but once there are they will appear in the block.
