What is PRO Autism?

We are PRO Autism – a small but varied group of hopeful people in York who are committed to identifying positive steps towards better employment opportunities for young autistic adults leaving Further and Higher Education.

Let's make a change

We believe that in order to bring about real and lasting change, all the stakeholders in the process – employers, parents /carers, specialist employment services, FE / university staff, and especially young autistic adults – must be involved.

Come to our free event!

We are organise information-sharing events where autistic adults, employers, parents/carers, university careers services / specialist employment services are all invited to share experiences of employment and think about solutions.

Help us build a toolkit!

The focus is to learn from each other and work collaboratively to identify the best practices for enabling successful employment for autistic adults and to use this information to create free resources for others to use.

Who is this for?

Our workshops / events are for anybody with an interest in improving the prospects of autistic adults. Our doors are open for young autistic adults, employers, parents/carers, university careers services / specialist employment services; and allies of autistic people.

Come to our free PRO Autism workshop event on Friday 16th June!

If, like us, you believe that employment opportunities for young autistic adults leaving Further and Higher Education need to be improved, then please join us for our free workshop event on Friday 16th June. It is only by working together to identify solutions that we can bring about change.
