Artist Statement

My work is collaborative, communal, caring.

My work is for everyone, everyone who wants or needs or both. 

My work is joyous, happy, bright. 

My work is mindful, full. 

My work is for me, and for you, and for us. 

My work is dance, movement, art. 

My work is what you take from it. 

My work is you. 

I am from a town called Darlington in the North East of England. I have a passion for the arts, dance in particular. During my time studying Dance and Drama at York St John University, I have discovered a love for the opportunities and the impact art has on communities. 

I have a strong belief that art holds huge power for the well being and happiness of human beings and that in a world full of cruelty, imbalance and uncertainty, art must be cherished but more importantly, created and shared. 

Building on my last point, I also believe that art should be accessible to everybody, regardless of age, race, gender, sexuality, disability or illness. I think we all need art in our lives, others may just need it more.
