5 Years Time

When asked “what did you want to do in the future” or “where do you see yourself in 5 years time”, we sometimes we have an answer, sometimes we don’t.

I have set myself a task of answering these questions with a timeline; a timeline that can adapt, change and keep me moving forwards.

It’s an evolving pathway of the next 1825 days.

Please note: due to the current situation of COVID-19, it is extremely important that community artists are able to adapt ways of working in social situations in times of struggle and change. The current Pandemic is something I need to heavily consider when taking my next few steps into the world of community arts work. I need to be aware of potential changes, knock backs and challenges that will most likely arise due to this outbreak. It is an extremely useful skill to have as an artist, to be able to adapt the way we work, to prevent the loss of art when it most needed. At times like these, community art is under great threat of being left behind. It is my responsibility as an artist to overcome these barriers and make sure community art can continue, perhaps differently, throughout this period of strain our society is under.
