Can I Wear your Shoes? – is an educational theatre piece which focuses on the themes of bullying in secondary school environments and how empathy can positively affect a community. This project was made to take into secondary schools for young people aged 13 – 15 years. The project contains a short film which showcases 3 main female characters and their relationships inside and outside of the school environment. Through the film, young people are able to identify and engage with the underlying themes, relationships and personalities of all the characters. This short film is accompanied with 5 workshops to help students work alongside empathy and fully understand its use within society. The overall main objective from these workshops is for young people to use drama skills and techniques to create a performance piece of work in response to the short film and the workshops.
