Dear Miss Whincup,

I am writing to express my interest in running a workshop and performance for your students.

As part of University, me and 4 other dancers created a company known as Flight Effect and worked intensely over a week with Northern Rascals.

We created a fun, playful piece called ‘Sparkies’ which is aimed at 12-16 year olds. The piece is about an alternative world where creatures known as the sparkies lived. It’s a comical piece with a child-like narrative with the deeper meaning personality traits and unique characters.

I think it would be great to get your dance and drama students involved and allow them to have an insight into what its like being at University studying Dance and Drama.

We would be able to offer a 20 minute performance with Q&A and then alongside we are happy to lead a 60 minute workshop, this would allow your students to learn skills of a higher level which they could use to help with their GCSE programme. Also it would give them a taster of a different style of physical theatre performance.
