The Wellbeing Team are here to support you! They offer chat sessions Monday to Friday and you can choose between live video or phone sessions.

Services Available:

Chat sessions

The Wellbeing team hold chat sessions to help you if you are feeling a little shaky, uncertain or homesick. 

They hold these chat sessions Monday to Friday.  During the pandemic you can choose between live video or phone sessions.

There are a range of Chats to choose from whether you are experiencing low mood or need support for anxiety. They are here to help you stay happy and positive throughout your student experience.

These sessions will be available to book from 15 September. 

YSJ Wellbeing App

We want you to feel good throughout your university journey, so we have created a YSJ Wellbeing app to help you monitor your mental wellbeing.

The app includes:

  • Help and advice on building positive daily habits to boost your wellbeing and happiness
  • Weekly advice and support to help you throughout your studies
  • Games and challenges with other students and the opportunity to become part of a global wellbeing community
  • The ability to track your progress and gain recognition awards for boosting your wellbeing
  • A library of self help guides and podcasts to help you improve your wellbeing and study skills.

Care First 

If you would like to speak to someone about issues in your personal life, Care First can help. You can speak to them in confidence at any time, 24 hours 7 days a week about anything, no matter how big or small. They can also support you with any issues or concerns you may have regarding the Covid-19 pandemic.

Together All

All students can access free online support through Together All. This provides a 24/7 online community and professional support from trained counsellors.

It is a safe, anonymous space to get things off your chest, explore your feelings and learn how to manage your mental health and wellbeing. To join, simply go to www.togetherall.com  and sign up under organisation with your university email address.
