Student Information Desk

If in doubt ask SID. The Student Information Desk should be the first port of call for all non-academic questions students might have. The desk is situated in Holgate Student Centre and is staffed by our helpful and knowledgeable Student Advisers. The Student Information Desk provides information, advice and guidance on a range of topics, books appointments for the specialist Student Services teams and hosts drop ins with other student support staff such as Visa & Compliance, International Student Support, Accommodation and Student Funding Advice. If the Student Information Desk do not know the answer to a student question they will know someone who does.

The Student Information Desk is also available virtually through SID Online, which provides an extensive bank of FAQs, useful documents and contact details.  If the answer isn’t available in the FAQs, students can log an enquiry and track it’s progress through SID Online. If you are with a student and are not sure about the information to give them have a look at the SID FAQ’s available via the Student Services homepage. These are organised by category and searchable by keyword, but if you cannot find the answer you are looking for ask the student to log their enquiry on SID (they just need their University username and password to log in)  and one of our Student Advisers will be in touch.
