Studio Segment:
For my final artefact, I chose to use the TV Studio Segment we created as part of a large group. For this task we had to create a ten minute studio based show that incorporated at least 1 pre-recorded sketch.
I decided to use this as my final artefact because I had quite a prominent role in the production of the show and my input did effect the creation, showing better than all the other artefact’s how I am capable of working within a team effectively especially considering my role.
The idea for the show was originally thought up by myself and two others. We presented our idea to the group along with other people’s ideas and ours was decided. Although the idea developed drastically from the initial idea, I feel it worked better than initially thought. The developmental process helped the group hone in on one specific premise of the show, combining what we all suggested.
Regarding the roles I played in the development of this artefact, I was one of the 3 original people that presented the idea and worked closely with the director for the beginning of the development process to help make the idea more defined and precise. Once the idea was developed enough and we started assigning roles for production I put myself forward for floor manager as I consider myself to be very organised and can work well under pressure. I felt I would work well in this role relaying information from the studio floor to the gallery.
My other role within this project was as the host of the pre-recorded segment, Will’s Meatballs, although I didn’t have a lot to do with the writing of the segment I tried to make suggestions on the day to help with the look and feel of the section.
The project itself had some ups and downs. We did fulfil the brief of creating a 10 minute show including a pre-recorded segment, which is what we set out to do, I also feel that the show we created was to a relatively good standard. However, on the day of filming there was a lot of miscommunication between the director and the rest of the crew. This did make it difficult to work effectively and efficiently together. The main cause of this issue was the use of the ‘Talkback’ system, which at times created confusion between myself and the rest of the crew on the studio floor. Along with this there was some technical issues with the audio, specifically the presenters Mic’s and ear pieces.
All things considered, the issues that arose on the day were dealt with and we did finish the project with a good standard show.

Its like you read my mind! You appear to grasp a lot approximately this, such as
you wrote the e-book in it or something. I believe that you simply could
do with some percent to power the message home
a bit, however instead of that, this is excellent blog.
An excellent read. I’ll certainly be back.
