We’re delighted to announce the launch of Curiositas, York St John’s new Open Access, peer-reviewed journal celebrating postgraduate research in the School of Humanities.
Created by postgraduates and for postgraduates, Curiositas provides a supportive platform to share work, experiment with ideas, and connect across the disciplines of the humanities.
The journal aims to showcase the breadth and depth of postgraduate research, creativity, and methodological innovation at York St John. It offers opportunities not only to publish original work, but also to gain valuable experience in editing, peer review, and collaborative research. By encouraging dialogue and partnership across our varied fields, Curiositas supports the development of a vibrant, student-led academic culture.
The first issue, titled “Origins”, is now open for submissions.
The theme is intentionally broad, inviting contributions that reflect the diverse and exciting work happening within our School of Humanities. Postgraduate Researchers are warmly encouraged to submit in any humanities-based subject area and submissions can include: academic papers, academic collaborations, conference reviews, book reviews and research-in-progress reports.
Academic papers and academic collaborations will be peer-reviewed thereby offering an invaluable opportunity to experience this process in a supportive and developmental way.
Whether you’re developing your first academic article or sharing the beginnings of a new idea, Curiositas is a space to explore, create, and connect with fellow researchers.
Find out more and submit your work via the Call for Contributions on the Curiositas website at https://blog.yorksj.ac.uk/curiositasjournal/
