10 places to eat at under £10
With the cost of living rising and the amount of money people have left over from bills decreasing, I have compiled a list of 10 places (cafes and restaurants) that you can eat at for all under £10.
Known as the best pizzeria in York, Cresci is definitely near the top of the list as a must go. Most of their classic pizzas are all under £10 as well as their starters being under £5. Located only on Piccadilly, Cresci Pizza gives an authentic true taste of Italy without having to travel.
Offering mammoth portions of loaded fries, burritos and burgers. Taylor’s Made Kitchen’s menu is all under £10 with the option to either order directly or deliver. Located in the Shamble’s market they serve out of a food truck which has recently just had a makeover.
York’s very first independent bagel shop, with all the fillings made in house. From a NYC style Reuben to a Chicken Parmo bagel and a classic salmon and cream cheese, they have a wide variety. Located in Spark* also on Piccadilly, Spark has multiple drink and food outlets that offer a wide range of prices.
From Bao Buns to Katsu Curry, YUZU street food has a flavourful Asian-infused menu. With most of the menu being under £10, you can pair up with friends to enjoy more of the menu and get a taste of it all. Located at Brew York so you can enjoy some tasty food whilst having a pint with friends.
From sweet to savoury Double Dutch Pancake House offers a wide range of pancakes to cater for all tastes. Or if waffles are more your style or looking for something more traditional to have for lunch then they also do sandwiches. Located on Church Street amongst many other eateries.
With a menu packed full of their speciality grilled cheeses, Forty-Five Vinyl Café has a simple but delicious menu. You can enjoy a toasty and a drink for less than £10, as well as some great music. Located on Micklegate just across the river.
Offering delicious burritos and tacos, as well as Vegan and gluten-free options. Smokehouse burrito has either chicken, pork, beef or jackfruit, along with salsa verde, corn and multiple others. Located as well in the Shambles.
A short but amazing menu. Nice to see you offer pancakes to burritos to a croque madame. All the menu is under £10. They also offer sit-in or takeaway sweet treats. Located on Goodramgate amongst the many charity shops.
With their fast hippo menu, you can get a delightful burger and some fries for all under £10 or if you’re looking at trying out the sides or starters, they have a great menu to keep the budget low. Located on Low Petergate, Fat Hippo also has locations all around the country.
An Instagrammers dream, Plush Café offers a tasty brunch menu all under £10. But be sure to get there before 12 p.m. Located on Stonegate, they have three themed dining rooms, with one of the rooms having swing seats.
