Hello! My name’s Zoe – this is me:

I’m 18 and studying Creative Writing and English Literature Joint Honours at York St John University, I’m also Student Rep for Creative Writing. I’m mostly movie buff trash.

I love writing, dark humour, insects, garlic bread, embroidery, and arguing.*

*I also love body shock gore films but that’s a bit less endearing

What do you write?

A bit of everything. I’m into interwoven rhyme scheme poetry and existential metafiction. I wanna write you into a K hole.

When did you start writing?

I started writing when I was 8 and 3/4. I know this because there is a god awful 4 page illustrated “novel” in my mum’s drawers at home – constituting my first ever attempt at writing literature.

Maybe one day I’ll share it on here (you should pray that day never comes).

When did you start taking writing seriously?

I was originally studying with the intent of heading into the field of science. When the Creative Writing A Level started at my school I had a go at getting into the class, when my entry was accepted it became the best decision of my life. I wish I could do the entire thing over again. It was heart-breaking to hear the course recently got scrapped.
