On 11/05/17 York St John hosted the inaugural Learning and Teaching Conference titled:
‘Formulating excellence in inclusive learning, teaching and assessment practice: have we reached the tipping point in higher education?’
Professor Alan Hurst’s opening address focused on ‘Reflections on 45 years’ of practice: 71-17 from then to today’.
The two keynote speeches were from Dr Ann-Marie Houghton. Lancaster University on ‘Changing the culture of higher education: Learning from others through research about inclusive practice’ and Professor Liz Thomas, Edge Hill University on ‘Beyond disability: Using inclusive learning and teaching to improve the success of other groups in higher education’
