Graduating in 2001, Dr Tracy Rea was President of the Students’ Union in 2002 before beginning her diverse career. From being the Director of Scottish Gymnastics in the lead up to the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games, Tracy used her transferable skills to secure a role with LLoyds Banking Group before moving into construction, proving her PhD theory about the validity and utility of transferable skills from sport. Tracy has recently completed a role in a different industry, construction, and is now working as a freelance consultant.
Dr Tracy Rea’s career history to date spans over varying industries. Tracy has recently finished two years as the European Head of Human Capital/People at Laing O’Rourke within construction. Previously Tracy worked as a Product Owner with the Agile Centre of Excellence within Group Transformation at Lloyds Banking Group. And the early days of her career were grounded within high performance sport, as previously mentioned employed as Performance Director of Scottish Gymnastics.
