Why have you chosen this photo as your YSJ snapshot?

Proud parents when I graduated! First one in the family to go to university.

What are your fondest memories of York St John University?

Students’ Union on Friday night, canoe club on the Ouse during the floods, nights out at the Gallery, Toffs and Ikon/Diva, dissertation hand in day, being a fresher at the Limes, meeting the best group of friends – ever!

Why did you choose York St John University or founder colleges?

Historic grounding and locality. Shopping, night life and halls of residence with cooked meals provided!

What have you been doing since completing your studies?

I completed a PGCE at YSJ. I got a job in Aylesbury, Bucks. Been there ever since – for 21 years!

What one piece of advice would you give to a current student, or one about to graduate?

Enjoy every second – it goes too quickly!
