If you studied your undergraduate programme at York St John University or founder colleges, did you go on to postgraduate study?

Yes, somewhere else.

Why have you chosen this photo as your YSJ snapshot?

This is my graduation photo, not from my undergraduate at YSJ, but from my Masters in Dramatherapy from University of Roehampton 10 years later. My undergrad put me on an educational path that I felt led me to my MA and I am very grateful.

What are your fondest memories of York St John University?

I loved my course, it didn’t feel like learning or education at all. I really enjoyed the social aspect and meeting kids of different people.

Why did you choose York St John University or founder colleges?

It was relatively close to my hometown and it was familiar – which is what I needed at the time. The course sounded great and the halls were good!

What have you been doing since completing your studies?

I am currently working two days a week after slowly returning from maternity leave. I have my own therapy practice and work with adults and children with a range of challenges from anxiety and depression to symptoms of trauma. I would like to expand this and my therapeutic tool kit.

What one piece of advice would you give to a current student, or one about to graduate?

Take one step at a time. You don’t need to rush decisions or education. There is always time.
