WHY HAVE YOU CHOSEN THIS PHOTO AS YOUR YSJ SNAPSHOT?
This is me happy going for a walk not long after progressing in my career, purchasing my first home and walking my puppy. I feel I have come so far in my career since leaving YSJ.
WHAT ARE YOUR FONDEST MEMORIES OF YORK ST JOHN UNIVERSITY?
My memories were working in the SU shop and seeing everyone as well as meeting great people in the history society at the time and making many friends.
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE YORK ST JOHN UNIVERSITY OR FOUNDER COLLEGES?
I loved the small community feel and beautiful campus and all the friendly staff and students. I also fell in love with York.
WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN DOING SINCE COMPLETING YOUR STUDIES?
I have been working hard to get where I am today working on the railway in the control centre and continue to strive to be better and progress. I have also undertaken a workplace apprenticeship in leadership and management and I now train staff in my role. I also try to take every opportunity that comes my way. I have always aimed to do this since leaving university and strive to be good at what I do and teach others the same.
WHAT ONE PIECE OF ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO A CURRENT STUDENT, OR ONE ABOUT TO GRADUATE?
Always work hard and take every opportunity you can manage to do.
