If you studied your undergraduate programme at York St John University or founder colleges, did you go on to postgraduate study?
No.
Job:
Manager.
Why have you chosen this photo as your YSJ snapshot?
This is me nearly 40 years after starting at CRYSJ!
What are your fondest memories of York St John University?
I loved living and studying in York. History lectures in Gray’s Court are a particularly special memory.
Why did you choose York St John University or founder colleges?
I chose St John’s because it was a chance to study history at a small friendly college in a beautiful and historical city.
What have you been doing since completing your studies?
After completing my degree, I worked in retail for a few months before going to Germany to work as an au pair. I came back to Scotland in 1991 to do my nurse training in Inverness. I’ve remained in Inverness and worked in nursing and health development/ research until 2011. Since then I’ve worked in charity management and am currently manager at Inverness Women’s Aid. Not sure what the next few years hold but hopefully it’ll involve working less and enjoying myself more!
What one piece of advice would you give to a current student, or one about to graduate?
Enjoy living and studying in York – it’s a very special city.
