Pin badge inspiration

How do you sum up your experience of York St John? Every year we ask our graduating class to take part in our pin badge competition to design their graduation pin badge, and we always love the variety of designs we receive!

In July 2023, Holly joined us for a morning as part of her work experience. After spending a week on campus, we asked her to pick five places that would inspire her pin badge design, if she had the chance!

The Creative Centre

This is an iconic piece of York architecture that has been nominated for awards. It’s new design is what many students and visitors are surprised about when they visit!

The Chapel

This is a sign of peace and tranquility on campus. Does it remind you of calmer times on campus?

The Quad

This in one of the oldest parts of the whole university and has a rich history. What more can you say!

The front of campus

This was one of the first parts of York St John to be built and is where our first classrooms were. There’s plenty of interesting views to choose.

The Students’ Union
