When should we start celebrating Christmas?

 

Christmas season is arriving and lots of people are getting in the Christmas mood. Some people have been in the Christmas mood for months and can not bare the excitement where as others are still thinking it is too early to start celebrating Christmas. But the real question is, when is it the right time to start celebrating christmas? Is it in November? Is it from December 1st onwards? It is argued that if the Christmas season is celebrated for too long, then Christmas is a lot less special when it finally arrives.

 

 

 

 

 

 

York traditionally hosts St.Nicholas Fair on Parliament Street which is filled with Christmas-themed chalets and market stalls. This Christmas Market also brings Thors Tipi Bar, which is filled with log-fires and a festive atmosphere. This market brings Christmas to York with fairy lights and holly and begins on 16th November, is this too early to start celebrating Christmas? Some people feel that Christmas  is exploited commercially. are they are being exploited by companies to buy presents and consume a vast amount of food and drink over the Christmas season? There seems to be a lot of mixed opinions on this subject so I decided to ask people in the city centre of York when they start celebrating Christmas and what Christmas means to them.
