Nafe Smallz Concert Review, Omeara, London, 4 Stars.
Nafe Smallz has been the name in everyone’s mouth this year in the UK music scene. After releasing his highly anticipated album ‘Movie Music’ it is no surprise that he sold out not one, but two headline shows at the Omeara, London. As the curtains opened on stage Nafe was rapping a slow, smooth song with the crowd screaming at his appearance. The crowd continued to increase in energy as he played addicted and call up your friends with everybody singing along. The first special guest of the night came on to the stage as Yung Fume rapped his verse on F*ck all the talking. The room was bouncing but Nafe clearly wasn’t impressed with the energy as he told the DJ to play ‘some hype sh*t’. This added to the rawness of the set as rather than a planned production Nafe was reacting to the crowd. This lead to a huge singalong from the crowd and a lot of smoke in the air as ‘Smokin’ was playing through the speakers. Black the Ripper also joined Nafe on stage to rap his verse and he definitely felt the love from his home city. The hit song ‘Gucci’ was played four times at the end of the set and still nobody wanted it to end. The crowd was bouncing up and down and singing every word. Nafe even decided to jump in the middle of the crowd with the mic and carry on performing to increase the energy level with everybody pushing to get as close as possible. The energy in the room was through the roof as there was over ten people on stage and Nafe was jumping in the crowd. A bottle of water was sprayed in to the crowd every time the song dropped and the crowd was jumping. Nafe’s vocals were on point throughout the whole performance as he rapped every song word for word and was clearly enjoying himself as he did. The music through the speakers was slightly louder than the vocals which Nafe did ask the DJ to adjust multiple times however this did not affect the quality of his performance. Overall the performance from Nafe was very energetic and diverse. The crowd ranged from mosh pits and jumping to everybody waving their arms side to side. Nafe was very much in control of the crowd and created a dynamic atmosphere.
great share
