Professional Development for Learning, Teaching and Research
Taking place on 7, 8 and 9 September 2022, this three-day programme of activities is designed for colleagues who are new to York St John University and who have fewer than 2 years’ experience of teaching and supporting learning within a HE context.
It is a mandatory aspect of induction for:
This induction event is aligned with the HEA Developmental Route, which is a structured pathway for colleagues wishing to gain HEA Associate Fellowship and HEA Fellowship.

Online Academic Induction
All participants should have engaged with the Academic Induction via the Microsoft Sway site. By the end, all attendees will have become members of the Academic Induction MS Teams site and will have been able to post any messages or queries to that site. This is a self-directed online activity taking approximately 4-6 hours to complete in total. |

Participants who complete to this point gain their ‘provisional teaching licence’. In other words, they can be put on the teaching register and made available for leading teaching activities under supervision and with guidance. |
