Academic Induction Day 1 – New to Teaching at YSJ

Please note this event has been cancelled due to industrial action taking place on Days 1 and 2 of the induction. A follow-up date in June will be announced shortly. 

Taking place on 22, 23 and 24 February 2023, this three-day programme of activities is designed for academic colleagues who are new to York St John University and who have fewer than 2 years’ experience of teaching and supporting learning within a HE context. 

It is a mandatory aspect of induction for: 

1. Academic Associates 
2. New Academic Staff with fewer than two years’ experience 
3. PGR students who wish to be added to the T&L Register (i.e. be eligible to support undergraduate learning through teaching-related activities) 

This induction event is aligned with the HEA Developmental Route, which is a structured pathway for colleagues wishing to gain HEA Associate Fellowship (D1) and HEA Fellowship (D2).
