This session forms part of the CPD programme (research) for York St John University staff for the academic year 2023-24.

Session overview: Sometimes it can feel like there is not enough time in your day to tend to both your teaching and research demands. Both are important and at times they can be very urgent.
In this workshop we aim to rekindle and breath fresh life into our passion for both research and teaching.
- The Research Grants team will talk us through the range of support available to colleagues to undertake research at YSJ.
- Dr Michael Wilson will explain the significance, value and opportunities of Knowledge Exchange and, where possible, how it can be integrated with or supporting teaching activities.
- Dr Chris Whiting will offer practical approaches to how teaching and research can operate to mutual benefits.
- Professor Andy Hill and Professor Lee Higgins will discuss how they have found success in their roles as teacher and researcher.
The session will finish with open Q&A for everyone.
