RIPPLE Reading Group – Rethinking authentic assessment

November 10, 2022 @ 9:30 am - 10:30 am

A table with two chairs in front of well-stocked library shelves.
Following on from a great first session, Session 2 of the Research Into Professional Practice in Learning and Education (RIPPLE) network will be the launch of our RIPPLE Reading Group.

As a group, we will aim to read and then discuss a variety of texts relating to learning and hope this is of interest to all of the YSJU community – both Professional Services and Academic colleagues.

Our first text is a journal article written by Jan McArthur, entitled Rethinking authentic assessment: work, well-being, and society (Higher Education, 2022).

We will come together on Thursday 10 November 2022, 09:30 – 10:30, this time via MS Teams, to discuss and share our ideas. Hopefully it will spark some lively conversation!

We look forward to seeing you there.

You can access the article via the link above or from our RIPPLE Teams site in the Reading Group channel (if you would like to be part of this, please email either Dr Emma Walker or Dr Katherine Cross).
