YBS CPD Week – Day 1

Feedback is one of the most important parts of the learning and teaching journey. In this session, we will explore methods, styles and timings for good assessment and feedback delivery.
This session forms the first day of a week-long CPD event hosted by and (primarily) for colleagues within York Business School. Please note that, while open to all, some CPD sessions have been marked as compulsory for YBS staff.

This is a workshop designed to address assessment design and feedback giving – an issue of core importance to our students’ experience at York St John and a key NSS measure. We will start by learning, and practicing, written feedback – discuss how to make it most useful to our students – and then talk about designing assessments in a way that makes them authentic, doable, and allows our students to excel.
