More information
In at the deep end: This is a training session for those who are new to teaching. We’ll cover how to run seminars, different small-group teaching techniques, how to read students’ work and assign grades. The aim of this session is for you to feel prepared to teach your first class in a couple of weeks’ time. If you’re not new to teaching but are new to York St John, this session may still be useful since you can contribute some teaching techniques of your own to the discussion – but it’s not required.
Introduction to Fellowship workshop: In this session Dr Mark Dransfield will be providing an introduction to achieving Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy. This session is appropriate for all staff who may be interested in achieving Fellowship or advancing their current Fellowship status.
