Session overview: The session aims to provide practical tips and hints about undertaking research projects, drawn from the researcher's experience over 35 years, focusing on things to consider when designing surveys, running focus groups and conducting interviews.   Learning outcomes: how to recruit participants, how to run qualitative sessions, what to do with the data. Session facilitator: Vanessa Baxter, Service Manager and Researcher, Health and Care Research & Evaluation Service, Institute for Health and Care Improvement   Audience: Early Career Researchers (ECRs), including staff with little research experience and postgraduate researchers (PGRs) but open to all.
