Kat Langley attended the Socio-Legal Studies Association (SLSA) Conference, hosted online by Cardiff University. Kat was granted a bursary for attendance at the conference by Prof. Pat Tuitt. Kat presented her paper “Never stare directly at the sun: a practical analysis of the relevance of the Refugee Convention 1951.” The paper was well received within the broader migration stream – Managing people on the move. There were several thought-provoking keynote speakers talking around breaking down borders. The next SLSA conference in 2022 is hosted by York University.
SLSA welcomes student members. The first year’s membership is free. Find out more here.
