“That is part of the beauty of all literature. You discover that your longings are universal longings, that you’re not lonely and isolated from anyone. You belong.” ― F. Scott Fitzgerald
We are a group of second year English Literature students that have been a part of the Marketing Literature in-house project for the Literature at Work module. Over the second semester, we worked as a team to create a pamphlet and a connecting website for prospective English Literature students who may want to attend YSJ. This module has provided the group with excellent skills such as teamwork, communication, editing, interviewing, and independence. The pamphlet and website give prospective students the chance to look into YSJ as a university and York as an area to live in. Additionally, they are able to read interviews from 2nd and 3rd year students and lecturers/tutors that show their own opinions on the university and particularly the English Literature degree.
We thank Liesl King for all her hard work and advice throughout this project and the module. A further thanks to all lecturers and students who gave up their time to be involved in our project through interviews.
