Finding our social identity

The inaugural Social Media for Learning in Higher Education Conference #SocMedHE15 will be held at Sheffield Hallam University. This conference is about the use of social media for learning in Higher Education. It will create a forum for academics, their students and strategic managers to consider the opportunities, challenges, and the disruptive influence of social media for learning. The keynote will be delivered by Eric Stoller (@ericstoller).
The conference has three themes to allow exploration of the pedagogic possibilities of social media, as well as the strategic and operational challenges institutions face in supporting it. The themes are:
- The disruptive nature of social media
- Social media for networked, social and active learning
- The challenges of social media
- Please refer to the conference site for further information about the themes
