Hello!

9PXDVf9l_400x400I’d like to introduce myself as the latest addition to the TEL team. My role as Technology Enhanced Learning Advisor will be to support staff in their use of technology to enhance the student learning experience. Working to the Directorate’s annual objectives and the TEL Quality Framework, I will advise academic staff on effective ways of using learning technologies to develop innovative learning resources, processes and practises. I’ll be providing support on the core TEL systems and technologies, such as Moodle, Mahara, Turnitin and the Media Library.

I have previously worked as a secondary school teacher (with ICT/computing being my specialism).  From this role I have experience of using technology to engage and inspire learners, VLEs, ePortfolios, as well as planning learning resources and schemes of work.

I look forward to working with you all and supporting you in your use of TEL at YSJ.
