As we approach the end of our first semester in year 1 of Education studies, I felt it important to update on Uni life so far.
The link below will take you to the course overview
Things that I have found useful so far are
- Welcome week is good opportunity to meet people on your curse and find out more about them
- The lectures are not scary and will help you, talk to them.
- work at effective note taking, there is nothing worse than arriving home and being unable to read what you have wrote
- Take time for yourself, find a hobby, join a club..do something for fun.
- Referencing is more time consuming than difficult, keep going you will get there
- Ask for student discount every time you buy something, the works, Peacocks and shoe zone are just a few examples of shops that offer discount.
- get a student account with amazon, 10% off books
- If you sat at an assignment for hours and its not working then, take a break and come back to it
- attend tutorials they are great chance to chat to the lecturer
- read your feedback and take it onboard from a constructive point of view
- save your work in more than one place, nothing worse than losing that USB stick believe me!
