I chose to follow the theme of nature for the photography task. Rather than going to the Castle Museum Gardens like a lot of people I know did, I chose to go to the Treasurers House and photograph their gardens. The National Trust house has a small but well-maintained garden full of gorgeous flowers and colours. I struggled with this task as me and the camera just don’t seem to get along, however I applied as much of my own technical knowledge as I could. I didn’t manage to get a long exposure/light painting shot sue to the difficulties I was having with the camera, I was with a group of experienced media students and none of us could quite figure it out. I also struggled getting the frame within a frame, however I then found a group of flowers that had created a small frame. I faced few health and safety issues on this task as I was not filming in a place that could be considered dangerous (near the river for example) The only issue I faced was uneven ground and members of the public who would be visiting the property. To prevent any falls or trips from the uneven ground I just had to watch my steps and look out for any potentially hazardous spots.  When it came to editing my photos, I decided to use the black and white filter, but then mask it so the colour of the subject of the image would show through, essentially combining the themes of colour and nature. However, I was unable to do this on my silhouette image as it lost the effect due to already being a dark image.
