How often do you see sign language on TV?

In the above screenshot, they refer to d/Deaf. At first, my immediate thought was “how could they actually use dumb/deaf as a thing?”. Upon further research on this acronym, d/Deaf actually means people who are Deaf (sign language users) and deaf (who are hard of hearing but who have English as their first language and may lipread and/or use hearing aids) (The University of Greenwich, n.d.) . I find it very interesting that my realisation, the moment I learned the actual meaning, shows my ignorance.
